Hancock, OH, Truck Crash Hospitalizes Two

Two women were injured in a crash that occurred on December 7, 2013 at approximately 1:30 pm in Delaware, Hancock, Ohio. Police reports are that a 45 year old man of Toole, UT, was driving a 2012 Volvo truck west on Federal Highway 30 in the right lane. A 50 year old woman, Kelly A. Brookes of Bloomville, Ohio, was driving a 2007 Buick minivan, west in the right lane, ahead of the truck. The woman saw a deer and began to slow her vehicle. The driver of the truck allegedly failed to slow and struck the rear of the car, then drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Brookes was transported by Jackson Delaware EMS to Blanchard Valley, while an occupant of the minivan, 52 year old Deborah J. Kaqy, was also injured and transported by Appleseed EMS to Blanchard Valley. The man was charged and John’s towed the minivan.
