Rear End Crash Injures 44 Y-O Man in Lawrence, OH

A 44-year-old man sustained injuries in an accident that occurred in Fayette, Lawrence, Ohio, on December 13, 2013 at approximately 8:30 am. Police reports are that a 2011 Ford van and a 2013 Toyota Highlander SUV were headed west on Federal Highway 52 and stopped for a traffic light. The light turned green and traffic started to move. The man, Nelson Stuart Starcher of Orma, WV, who was the driver of the Ford van, slowed because of other traffic, while the driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old woman of Wayne, WV, allegedly failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck it. Lawrence County EMS transported the man to St. Mary’s Hospital. She was subsequently charged.
