Multiple accidents of Wednesday had several areas of Interstate 75 in Northeast Ohio shutdown. There was an accident Tuesday night that had the highway just north of Lima closed, but they were able to open that stretch up in time for morning commutes. There was a pileup involving multiple trucks that blocked all of the southbound lanes of I-75 just south of Lima that had that stretch of road shut down for a few hours. There was a recreational vehicle on I-75 near Findlay that rolled over and caused around eight people to be sent to the hospital. No major injuries in any of these accidents have been reported. Ohio State Patrol says that once they cleared one accident, there was another vehicle sliding off the road.  
 
In 2009, there were 9,475 accidents that were related to icy road conditions. 123 were unknown, 7,384 had property damage, 1,951 had accident-related injuries, and 19 were fatal. In Lima, Ohio there was 1,306 accidents. 45 were unknown, 905 resulted in property damage, 355 had injuries related to the accident, and there was 1 fatality. In Allen County there were 3,443 total accidents, 56 were unknown, 2,497 resulted in property damage, 879 had injuries, and 11 were fatal.
