On Sunday, April 3, 2011 at approximately 1:44 am, there was an accident in Geneva, in Ashtabula County that involved a 48 year old man. The man who was driving a 1999 Toyota Corolla was traveling northeast on Federal Highway 20, when the Corolla became disabled in the right lane. The man was getting out of his vehicle just as a 1996 Chevrolet driven by a 40 year old woman allegedly sideswiped the Corolla.  According to the police report the Chevrolet hit the rear drivers' corner of the Corolla and then continued and hit 48 year old causing him to be pushed a few yards ahead. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
