Police reports state that a 1994 Honda Accord was heading north on Federal Highway 68 allegedly fleeing from Georgetown police officers and drove off the right side of the roadway where the vehicle struck a guardrail, then ran off the left side where it also struck two small trees and rested. The 16 year old male driver sustained injuries and was transported by EMS and a 15 year old male occupant also sustained injuries.

There were 2,812 accidents last year in which there was no safety devices used which resulted in possible injuries.
