A Findlay man died Saturday evening at Blanchard Valley Hospital after his car crashed into a tree in the 800 block of Bright Road at about 6:33 p.m., according to the local police. At this time it is still to be determined whether the death resulted from the crash or was caused by a medical condition.

According to the Ohio Department of Public Safety there were two fatal crashes killing two people, and 254 injury crashes that hurt 325 people in Findlay, while Hancock County had nine fatal crashes killing ten people, and 516 injury crashes harming 689 people.

In Ohio in 2008 there were 196 fatal crashes on Saturdays and 10,265 crashes that caused injures. The month of June has the highest fatality rate at 115 for the month in 2008. There were a total of 99 accident related deaths of people over the age of 76 in 2008, of those 99, 62 of them were male.
