A 2001 SUV that was being driven by a 27-year-old man of Urbana, Ohio, Clayton R. Markley was involved in a crash that resulted in him being injured and transported by Urbana EMS to Mercy Memorial Urban. On March 13, 2013 at approximately 7:04 am, reports from the ODPS are that the man was driving a 2001 SUV north on Clark Road in Salem, Champaign, Ohio, when he allegedly lost control on the icy road. The SUV slid off the left side of the roadway and rested in a creek bed. Maine’s towed the vehicle and no charges were laid against the driver.

Accidents, which occurred on the gore and resulted in injuries in Ohio in 2011, amounted to 64 of 205.
