An Eastlake couple was ejected from their car, which was cut in two after striking a telephone pole. The accident occurred on April 18, 2009 at Roberts Road and Willowick Drive in Eastlake according to the local police. The driver was accused of drunk driving and killing his fiancée. His blood alcohol level was .082 which is over Ohio’s legal limit of .08. He was also driving in excess of 60mph in a 25mph zone. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene due to head injuries.
