According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Columbus man was northbound on Rt. 79, in Heath when his car crossed the center line and struck a southbound sport-utility vehicle south of Ridgley Tract Road. He died at the hospital in Newark. The passenger in his car, a woman from Newark, is in critical condition at the hospital. The driver of the SUV, a man from Buckeye Lake, died instantly, the patrol said.
