An accident involving a 1999 Buick motor vehicle driven by a 41 year old man was involved in a fatal accident. The police report states that the vehicle which was headed east on Federal Highway 24 changed lanes from the curb to the left lane. The driver allegedly lost control while changing lanes.  The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck a street sign, while the left front side of the vehicle also struck a telephone pole. The Buick then continued and hit the storm sewer culvert and subsequently overturned. The driver was completely ejected, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
