          According to police reports, a 2007 Mercury driven by a 56 year old man was northbound on South Broadway, allegedly drove off the left side of the roadway and ended up striking a stop sign, several bushes, a tree and a power pole before stopping. The driver sustained injuries and was transported by EMS.

Accidents which caused injuries and involved utility poles were 1,619 for injury causing accidents. There were 2,554 accidents last year in which there was no safety devices used which resulted in incapacitating injuries.
