Nursing home abuse: Akron nursing home worker accused of rape

An Akron nursing home worker is facing charges for sexually assaulting a woman in his care.
 
United States Marshals have arrested forty-nine-year-old Lamar Daniels of Akron. He has been charged with rape in connection with the sexual assault of a female resident of Middlebury Manor Nursing Home on East Market Street in Akron.
 
In May, Daniels was employed by Middlebury Manor as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) when he raped a middle-aged female resident who suffers from developmental disabilities. Daniels was suspended after the assault. The woman was transferred to the care of a group home.
 
Daniels is being held at summit county Jail. Investigators believe there may be more victims and ask anyone with information call 330-375-2490.
