One person was rushed to the hospital after an accident occurred involving a 2001 Mercury Saab in Catawba Island. Reports from the police, state that a 2001 Mercury Saab driven by a 27 year old man, was driving northeast on Sand Road. The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle which drove off the right side of the road struck two concrete roadway markers then drove back on the road then overturned. The injured 27 year old man was taken to the hospital by EMS.
