Police reports state that the 1988 Ford pickup was headed east on County Route 17 when the vehicle allegedly hit water on the roadway that caused the rear tires to hydroplane. The driver lost control of the vehicle which traveled off the right side of the roadway where it struck a wood post then continued on to strike a power pole. The injured woman was transported by EMS.
