A Pickaway County teen, 19 years of age, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and failure to control in regards to an accident that she was in on December 21, 2010. The teen was driving along U.S. Route 23 and allegedly swerved to miss debris in the middle of the road. She lost control of the vehicle and collided with a 1999 Oldsmobile. That car carried a man and woman that were on their way to Wheelersburg to help their daughter plan a funeral for her children. Police say that it doesn’t appear alcohol or the use of a cell phone was the cause of the accident. The couple was killed in the accident.
