A horrendous accident on the IR-80 turnpike in Shalersville, Ohio resulted in death for a 68-year old woman. According to police, the eastbound woman lost control of her 2009 Chrysler Pt Cruiser and ran into the guardrail on the right side of the road.

After bouncing off the guardrail, the Cruiser crossed in front of one semi truck, and smashed into another semi that was in the leftmost lane of the three-lane street. The woman's Chrysler then deflected off the semi truck, crashing into the semi that she had crossed in front of during the course of the accident. The collision with the second semi truck hurled the woman's car into the concrete divider on the left side of the turnpike. The woman was transported by Shalersville, Ohio EMS where she was pronounced dead.

Neither of the semi truck drivers were injured in this accident. Damage to both trucks was rated as severe. All vehicles had to be cleared from the road by a Portage, Ohio area towing company.
