A 1997 Jeep Cherokee which driven by a 34 year old man, was traveling east on Federal Highway 20 in the right lane allegedly at high speed when the driver attempted to changed lanes and failed to control the vehicle. The vehicle travelled into the median and overturned several times then came to rest on it’s top. The driver was completely ejected from the vehicle. The 34 year old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sandusky Ohio whose population was 4,087 in 2010, suffered only one fatal crash last year according to the ODPS.  Those accidents in which vehicles rolled over were 57 which resulted in fatalities. Accidents in which the drivers were totally ejected were 132 which resulted in fatal injuries. Accidents which occurred when the time was cloudy and resulted in fatalities were 267. Accidents which were not hit/skip last year were 939 which caused fatal injuries, those in which drivers traveled at unsafe speeds were 143 and accidents in which the drivers were suspected to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication amounted to 243 which resulted in fatalities. Accidents in which no safety device was used by vehicle occupants, and which resulted in fatalities stood at 536.
