The reports stated that on December 22, 2011 at approximately 9:31 pm, a 2001 Chrysler midsize car was headed east on State Route 153, while a 1988 Pontiac Firebird compact car was headed west on the same route. The 52 year old male driver of the Pontiac Firebird allegedly lost control of the vehicle and drove it left of the center of the roadway where it struck the Chrysler. The injured were: the 62 year old female driver of the Chrysler and three occupants who were under the age of 13 and the driver of the Pontiac Firebird. All were transported by EMS.

Accidents in which the drivers were under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication amounted to 5,173 which resulted in injuries.
