The reports stated that a 1985 Chrysler midsize car was headed south on the avenue when the driver of the vehicle allegedly blacked out and failed to control his vehicle. The vehicle then went off the west side of the roadway and struck a small group of trees, then a guardrail, before striking a large tree and coming to rest. The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital by EMS.
