A 2007 pickup was stopped in traffic on Genesse Avenue and attempting to turn west onto Hollywood Street. A 2010 SUV was headed north on Genesse Avenue approaching Hollywood Street. The SUV allegedly failed to stop for the pickup and ended up striking it from the rear. The driver of the SUV then allegedly fled the scene. A 51 year old male driver and a 51 year old male occupant of the pickup sustained injuries.

The accident occurred when the time was dry; in 2010 there were a total of 53,774 accidents which occurred when the time was dry.
