An Urbana man was killed and his passenger seriously injured yesterday afternoon when their car went left-of-center on Rt. 36 in Marysville in Union County and struck the rear tires of a northbound tractor-trailer, the State Highway Patrol said. The man was pronounced dead shortly after he was taken to the hospital in Marysville. His passenger also from Urbana was taken to Memorial Hospital and transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. The driver of the tractor-trailer from Ney in northwestern Ohio was not injured.
