         A 2001 Toyota driven by a 17 year old female was headed north on State Route 339 and attempted to turn east into a private drive. A 2008 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 45 year old woman allegedly failed yield and was struck by the Toyota. Both drivers sustained injuries.

        In Ohio last year, accidents which occurred on the roadway amounted to 59,706 which resulted in injuries. Washington, Ohio whose population in 2010 was 63,251 suffered a total of 431 injury crashes which resulted in 644 persons being injured. Those which were angle crashes were 21,458 of a total of 69,703 which resulted in injuries. Mid size vehicles involved in accidents last year were 42,206 of a total of 161,361 which caused injuries. There were 5,213 injury crashes which were as a result of drivers traveling at unsafe speeds in Ohio last year and those which crossed the median/centerline were 750 all these were injury causing accidents. Accidents which occurred when drivers were apparently normal were 117,682 which resulted in injuries. There was a 17 year old and a 45 year old injured in the accident. In the category of age distribution of persons injured, there were 10,754 persons injured in the 16-20 age group and 6,354 in the 10-45 age group.
