A 1998 Buick Lesabre and a1989 Ford Mustang both driven by 18 year old men were heading north on State Highway 231 in Wyandot County.  The driver of the Ford Mustang allegedly failed to see the vehicle ahead of him and attempted to pass the Buick by going into the southbound lane. The driver of the Ford Mustang saw the vehicle and attempted to return to the north bound lane. The Ford Mustang struck the Buick and both drivers allegedly lost control of their vehicles and ran off the left side of the roadway. The Buick struck a house marker sign, a driveway and a mailbox. Both vehicles came to rest at the edge of the woods. Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported by EMS.
