Why did I, David M. Chester, become an Ohio personal injury attorney? I answer this question by taking you back to my early teens and telling you about an incident that occurred where my brother was taken to the hospital with horrible stomach pains and anemia. The doctor on call could not figure out what was wrong with my brother. For almost two days I watched helplessly as the doctor seemed to do nothing. Surgery was performed and the doctor told us she could not figure out what was wrong with my brother. What should have been an hour surgery dragged on for over five hours. Another surgeon was called in on my family's urging and he found the problem, a bleeding ulcer, very quickly and saved my brother's life. My brother still has serious health problems to this day, and no action was taken against that doctor. This nightmare situation affected me so much that I decided to represent others who had been through this and worse. I wanted to represent Ohioans who were injured by the carelessness or negligence of others. I did not want anyone to have to feel the helplessness I felt that day, and that is why I became an Ohio personal injury lawyer.
