North Royalton, Ohio man killed in highway construction zone accident

A North Royalton man was killed last week while working in a construction zone on Interstate 271.

The accident occurred just before midnight on Wednesday, July 28. Randy Roginski was wearing reflective clothing while marking the pavement on the right shoulder of Interstate 271 between Ohio 303 and Interstate 77. He was killed at the scene when he was struck by a Honda Accord heading south.

The driver of the Accord, 49-year-old Anthony J. Jones of Richfield, was driving in the right lane when traffic was being squeezed onto the berm. He was not cited and the accident is still under investigation by the Ohio department of Transportation.

Roginski worked for Solar Testing Labs. He was was married and had a son and daughters. The Cleveland personal injury attorneys at Chester Law Group offer our sincere condolences to the family.
